The Christian Business Men’s Connection (CBMC) in conjunction with RecycleForce and the Sagamore Institute will be hosting Mark Whitacre for a luncheon on March 3, 2017.
Mark Whitacre spent nine years in federal prison for his part in the Archer-Daniels-Midland price-fixing scheme, and was later portrayed by Matt Damon in the move The Informant. His story of redemption and second chances is inspirational, a story that calls the issue of reentry to the attention of business and community leaders.
We are inviting leaders to come hear Mr. Whitacre speak. Mark will be speaking to the RecycleForce participants, and afterwards we will be touring RecycleForce’s facility. Whitacre is a Marketplace Ambassador for CBMC, an organization that has greatly impacted his life over the past two decades.
“This visit will be a chance to increase awareness of re-entry issues and how the faith community can play an even larger role,” said RecycleForce President Gregg Keesling.
Whitacre will also be the speaker at CBMC’s annual Greater Greenwood Mayor’s Prayer Breakfast on March 4, 2017.
