Earth Day Indiana E-Waste Collection Event

May 30th, 2022 • Events, Recycling

As part of the Earth Day Indiana Festival held in Garfield Park, Earth Day Indiana and RecycleForce are hosting an electronics recycling event at the former Christel DeHaan Academy located at 2717 S. East St, which is located just south of Garfield Park. on Saturday, June 4 from 11am-5pm.

Clean out your garages, basements, and junk drawers to support two non-profits at the same time! Drop off unused, outdated, and/or broken electronics so that they may be properly recycled.
Since its inception in 2006, RecycleForce has recycled more than 100 million pounds of e-waste. There is nothing we haven’t seen recycled – MRI machines, thousands of car seats, airplane and locomotive black boxes and almost everything in between. If it came with a plug, we’ve probably taken it apart. Everything that comes through is dismantled, sorted, and recycled to its base materials. Steel, aluminum, precious metals and plastics all find their way back into the supply chain to be reused.
RecycleForce is NOT just a recycling company. Our mission also focuses on reintegrating formerly incarcerated citizens back into society through a process of education, training and counseling. We do all of this under the supervision of professionals who can assist in each phase of the process. RecycleForce’s goal is to break the endless cycle of reincarceration and help returning citizens become productive members of our Indianapolis area community.
On-site staff will direct traffic. Attendees should remain in their cars. Non-electronic materials will NOT be accepted during this event. Items with a price below is what we ask as a donation per item of that type. This helps us recycle any hazardous materials in those devices.
